Why Schools Are Trading Generic Career Quizzes for Real Conversations
I have spent decades in the trenches of human behavior. I have interviewed thousands of people. I have watched the light go out in the eyes of brilliant twenty-somethings because they spent four years and eighty thousand dollars climbing a ladder against the wrong wall.

Schools are realizing that the "one-stop shop" model of massive college-readiness platforms often results in a "jack of all trades, master of none" experience. The career exploration tools are often the weakest link: a checkbox tucked away in a corner of a complex, clunky UI.
